SINISTER MONSTER DOOM LEGION pt.2
So here’s the new crew. Throgor and Hypnausea are pretty obvious additions. Toxsick and Babirus haven’t really been seen since “The Sicko Six” (although they did make cameos in “The Royal Supervillain Theatre presents: The Tempest“). I was pretty surprised to hear how many readers either absolutely loved, or hated, Babirus, so it’s a pleasure to have his disgusting face grace the pages of this fine comic.
Our two newest recruits are Tigadactyl and Zodi Jr. Tigadactyl is a character design I found in one of my several million sketchbooks; I had simply created him and forgotten about it, until years later I flipped through one old book and thought he might work. Zodi Jr is based on the infamous Zodiac killer of the Bay Area (hey, got to keep up with my roots). Note the little design on his mask.
…and finally, there’s our dreaded leader. I’ll have more to say about him next week, but for here and now just enjoy his presence. Trust me, he’s a total badass.
It’s the evil sock-puppet of DOOM!
He looks like the orginal Kermit. I aint afraid of him either.
And is that Scapula lurking around as his man-servant?
Homer Simpson has always been been terrified of sock puppets. He must have known about DARKEVILHELLDEATH-MAN.
@Hoomi I don’t remember if that game had any sock puppets in it, but he’s still just as violent and scary!
@Bearman “Sam & Friends” had its creepy moments, namely the “Inchworm” sketch would frightened me to the core as a child.
The identity of the majordomo will be revealed soon.
@Dan It was pretty mean of Marge to open that mental scab of Homer’s. Hey, he’s sensitive about his fears!
Love the 4th panel. I love those panels, it reminds me of the old Marvel comics namely X-Men where they would give you the line up of who the major players were. Zodi Jr. character design is cool. The character type reminds me of a character I did when I was in high school.
@Roland I’ve been a Merry Marvelite since I was a kid, and while I have pretty much outgrown the X-Men I still remember getting a kick out of how many characters there were (and how many toys and trading cards of each and every one of them).
Now, Spidey is a comic character I’m always going to stick to (stick to! har har!).
Never mess with googly-eyes!
Hmmm … I might have seen Babirus compete on Iron Chef once … ?! 🙂
@SpilledInky That’s what they said about Marty Feldman!
Babirus makes a pretty darned good Children Chili (just kidding, just kidding…it’s really more of a stew).
And I always thought I was the chainsmoker extraordinaire. 😀 I love Scapula’s rogues gallery. These villains are entertaining and inventive. Fall back, Dick Tracy!
@George I try to match the quality of villains that only Dick, Bats and Spidey can offer. Here’s hoping we can find more readers who will agree!
Well, you have me hypnotized with Hypnausea! *grin* …I feel like if we slid her into the Rocky Horror Picture Show, she’d look like she belongs!
@jynksie “She”? Uh….right. “She”.
Someone seems to be playing “The Crying Game”.
What the hey. Everyone put on your Rocky Horror garb and do the Time Warp (yeah…AGAIN!).
Rogue’s gallery!
That Tigadactyl scares the piss outta me, by the way.
@Chris W. Yikes! Sorry, man…didn’t mean to make you ruin your fresh undies!
