Yes, kiddies, it’s been a year since we last had a post here (not including the announcement that Scapula: Memento Mori is available on Comixology….hey, did I tell you that Scapula: Memento Mori is available on Comixology?). 2016 was a strange year, what with the celebrity death wave (the saddest of which, to me, were Jack Davis and Zacherley the Cool Ghoul) and the most ridiculous presidential race in recent memory…and, of course, it was a year without the Scapula webcomic.

Well, I’m back and here to say it’s time for new adventures! After a year of studying, drawing, developing new skills and reading lotsa’ funnybooks, this artist is ready to unleash something new from the World’s Worst Villain. Starting February 5th you’ll see a new comic page here on Sundays, just like the good ol’ days (well, the mostly good ol’ days).

There have been some changes, though: the days of the serial webcomic ended here in 2015, and the series is changing to a whole new format. A massive magazine-sized comic has been prepared, and this upcoming March I will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund its publication. You’ll be seeing new stories, artwork, and other surprises coming up soon, and hopefully with everyone’s help we can make this happen!

However, for those with tight budgets (or, y’know, don’t feel like helpin’…), rest assured you’ll see something here for free. One of the stories in this new volume will appear here, at a page-a-week, for the next several months. Either way you’ll be seeing lots of new comics with that ol’ jerk Scap.

Finally, humongous thanks to my supporters on Patreon, who generously contributed over the course of 2016 to help me get by while I practiced my craft; in return they got to see sneak peeks of what’s in store (and got a lot of their silly drawing requests made!). Every single donation is appreciated, so whether you got a few bucks for Patreon or wish to help out the upcoming Kickstarter know that your help will always be welcome.

The fun begins very soon, my freakish friends and rabid readers. It’s good to be back, and I hope you’ll be here for the show.
