It’s been a while since I’ve done any extreme Scapula facial expressions, but every once in a while I like to indulge myself!
Can’t say I’m surprised. Free love and all that. I’m just wondering if it’s the same day as the previous comic, because otherwise, he’s got more than just this to worry about.
Time wise this is later that day (he’s stopping for a beer and a brag before he goes to Moonie’s pad for a ‘surprise quickie’). And yes, indeed, Scapula has taken a lot on his plate with a new career and relationship…now we’ll see if he’s bitten off more than he can chew!
Hmmp, for a Villain, you’d think it wouldn’t really matter, not like he has a whole lot of morals anyways.
He doesn’t seem like the sharing type, either! Letting his crew crash at his pad and eat his food is one thing, but sharing the girl he’s banging is definitely not for someone as shallow as himself.
…and there it is. By “it” I meant the inevitable problem that Scapula always runs into whenever he tries to accomplish ANYTHING. And you know why? Because he jinxed it! What did he think was going to happen when he said “It doesn’t get better than this”?
Hey, problems keep a story interesting! Imagine a Scapula story that had no conflict whatsoever: “Scapula woke up one day and went in the kitchen to make some coffee. He was briefly worried that he was out of half-&-half but thankfully there was some let in the fridge. The end”.
..actually that brief moment of worry might count as conflict. Never mind, I think I may have to use that story soon!
good to see the bartender again, it’s nice to see some characters that can have a chat with scap without trying to get a huge heist off (well drinks at a bar prettymuch robbery ), also sorry scap you got a bit of a free spirit on your hands
We already know that Rizz, like every other bartender, charges obscene prices for drinks that would cost a fraction if patrons just bought them at the supermarket. Oh well; I guess you’re just paying extra “for the atmosphere”.
I was wondering when the other shoe would drop. He can’t be happy for too long, or the universe implodes! This is what I have decided.
The protagonist must suffer so that the universe may continue to exist…I’m sure that’s a theme that’s been used in other movies, shows, books, and so on, but in this case maybe the Earth would go kaboom if Scap ever wound up happily ever after!
I just wonder which if them will beat up Scap!
Probably Rizz the bartender; she doesn’t seem to be in a friendly mood tonight!
Hey, it’s in the rules: Do not bug the bartender when the place is packed to the rafters. That’s like bugging the bomb squad guys when the timer’s in single digits….. you’re taking your life in your hands!
Rizz is not to be trifled with. A bomb defuser is probably safer than someone who angers this bartender!
You’d think he would realize, if she was that quick to hook-up with him, she wouldn’t be too discriminating overall…

What part of ‘hippie’ did he not get? Or ‘Already has two kids’? Or…… y’know what, never mind. This is why I never hang out with hippies. That and I have certain hygiene standards I’m not willing to part with.
I tend to keep my girls on a short leash….. often, literally.
Maybe Scapula should just forsake the hippies and go straight to the S&M crowd. He’s a control freak, loves to inflict pain and assert his dominance, and he has a love of strange costumes!
A guy who was willing to replace his face with a plastic skull? Yeah, I’ve met weirder and more successful dommes.
Love where the story is going on this, and kinda saw it on the horizon. Probably because I was in a very similar situation myself a while back – aw hell, 19 years ago? Has it been that long? Sheesh, I feel old.
Had met her briefly through a friend, then saw her again later. She was flirting with me, I flirted back, ended up taking it all the way at a friend’s house. Way I learned things, that meant we were at least an item. Come to find out in her line of thinking that just means we had fun and there was no reason not to do the same with another guy just two days later without saying word one to me about it, and I find out when he’s bragging about bagging her. o.O Confront her about it, she says we had fun but never actually said anything about going out with each other, and she’s into the new guy more than me.
Yeah, I’ve wised up about things like that and am not nearly as naive as I used to be. Hell, nowadays I could totally appreciate her line of thinking. But back then, it was a total shock and I wasn’t ready for it. So I feel Scap’s pain on this one, but at the same time Moonie never said anything about being his one and only and Scap should know better.
Now there’s a story for the bar if I ever heard one! And yes, it’s a hard lesson for any young lover (man or woman) to learn about what defines a relationship and what is just plain ol’ screwing around.
Scap apparently hadn’t learned that lesson before this…we’ll see whether or not it sinks in.
My heart breaks for you Scap….now go break his face!
