So now there are only two (four?) Jeminis, an unknown number of mira miras and some bodyguards versus Dracula, ponytail and some thugs Dracula is going to hire?
Let’s see what happens!
It’s a little hard to keep track of how many duplicates there are (even for me, and I’m the one writing this mess). But let’s see if we can sort this out here:
There were fourteen Jeminis up to now, thirteen of which are duplicates. One of them has just been killed, as noted in today’s comic.
It depends on how you look at their position. On the one hand, they all get to head their own branch of their gangland operations. On the other, they almost seem to be ‘testing the waters’ for the real Jemini.
Always a risk in crime-bossing…… those shootouts I mean. Although identity confusion certainly is as well. I was fortunate, none of the chunkheads I worked for were into high end crime that I heard about and I rarely got a gun pointed at me, and never fired at me, until I got into legitimate bodyguarding.
This wouldn’t be a problem if she could hire competent lieutenants. Delegation to trusted underlings is how you keep large crime empires under control! Instead of doing it all yourself….. of course, Isuppose she has a lot more self to go around than most, but still. You have to be able to let your underlings work without you or else the whole thing goes to bits with a single bullet.
“If you want something done, do it yourself”. She could invest in better help in running her gangs, but as we saw in last Sunday’s comic, she tends to be rather demeaning to those around her.
The single bullet thing…well, in this case there’s more of her to spare, as long as she can fund the production of more of herselves. It costs a hefty fee, and no, you can’t pay in counterfeit bills!
She’d better hope none of them are made while she’s having a bad day or they might come out a little sour to the idea of being shoved out the door to plug a hole in the lineup. Incidentally, I can’t wait until one has a near death experience and then remembers how casually she tossed away the one rogue clone. Might get them thinking. After all, we develop based on who we interact with and what happens to us.
For some reason, I keep wondering how much it costs to keep feeding all of those duplicates. I mean, there’s a lotta mouths to feed with two heads each.

That last count does not include the kidnapped Jemini who died in THE JEMINI KILLER. Got all that?
Mira Mira’s duplicate count is a little harder to decipher, but there were at least three seen in Jemini’s employ after the debacle in SCIENCE FICTION DOUBLES FEATURE.
Jemini has a good chance of confusing her enemies to death (but hopefully not the readers)!
I wonder how the duplicates feel about being used as cannon fodder?

So far we haven’t seen any signs of duplicate rebellion (well, other than Inverto and his causing an entire population of Mira Miras to rebel against the each other, but that guy had some issues), so we’ll see just how this whole scenario works out for the lot of her.

It could happen! But…WILL it happen?
I don’t know, I haven’t written that far ahead…I mean, uh, that’s need-to-know only!
