Welcome back, old friends and new readers alike! Looks like we’re off to a helluva start with Scapula and his new crew committing his most ambitious crime yet!
For those of you who need some catching up, reread how Scapula formed the new Halloween Gang in the SCAPULAJUGEND storyline. For those of you who want to see what happens next, tune in on Tuesday!
Good, good. Mwahahahaha!
“Excellent…” [tents fingertips]
I love your use of color The first panel has the look of a vintage comic.
Thankya, Nef! I do use an ‘old comic’ pixellation effect on occasion, although I try not to overdo it (there’s only so much pseudo-retro you can take).
WAHOO! Scapula’s back!
And he brought a crab..octopus..thingy.
Very nice page!
Glad you liked! If only he had gotten himself one of those years ago…
Hell, if only I had gotten myself one!
COMPETENCE! Impressive at that. Now of course there’s the issue of FENCING that many diamonds, but with a plan and patience it’s no biggie.
Glad to see the shock and awe approach is still a good one.
Welcome back, hun! You were missed!
Happy to be back, Jenn, and also happy to have you back!
I’m sure he’ll have some of the Goth kids cutting those diamonds; hey, they’re already used to CUTTING, right?
Ba dum tish!
Dammit, Scap, have you not learned? Your personal karma doesn’t allow use of the “s-word”! Now it’s going to turn, and I had my hopes up for ya …
Scapula’s not allowed to use a sword? Knowing him, he probably would have tripped and impaled himself.
Hurrah, you’re back! Missed ya, big guy (and also missed that freak with the skull face)!
Thankya, Weezle! It’s nice to see the skull-head freak back as well (well, sorta’…).
Now, That is what I call an Entrance. The get-away vehicle is unique and my eyes are spinning in my head from the first panel. Also, Lady Jenn is getting her dose of Scapula.
He makes an entrance, for sure, but for all we know he stole it from either a 50’s B-movie or some high-production rock-and-roll show. Either way, it works!
Than you for your concern, Ol’Gui!
I love your color and composition… Glad yer back! I missed you!
Great to see you back as well, Squiddie!
🙂 Glad to see the return! And a capable Scap? I’m worried now.
Hi GBeans! Scap has always been capable…of being a doof.
Yeah, I’m low on comebacks today, but maybe I’ll think of a better one this week!
I long ago made a habit of clicking all the webcomic links in my comics folder to check for updates. This time i paid off!
I’ve always wondered about heists like this. Where does one sell millions in highly visible stolen jewels?
I can imagine the last thirty days or so were just clicking SCAPULA, yelling, “Damn!”, then going on to the next comic (which would be…what, Family Circus?).
As for where to find a place to sell your stolen jewels, go to the fence…that’s right, Wilson from “Home Improvement” was a blackmarketeer!
It’s a habit that continued in spite of your nice graphic telling exactly when Scapula would be back xD
Fel free to think me sad… I read so many comics that I actually foldered them up by day, and update frequency. So on that day I just left click > open all in new tabs.
I never took Scap out because I’m lazy. 🙂
Welcome back, Aidan! Wow, this super page looks phenomenal. The colors are so vibrant and your linework is so technical and crisp. You are progressing and improving by leaps and bounds, man.
And the same should be said for Scapula also. It appears that his schemes are getting wilder and more defined. I like this caper, and I feel that Scap has finally found a way to use his odd imagination to come up with ways to strike fear into the public. Maybe his plans work better when he’s not actively involved with pulling the heists off. Perhaps, he’s put to more proficient use when he’s behind the scenes observing the chaos. Hey, he may have found his niche now.
Thank you very kindly for your support and compliments, George, and Scapula would appreciate them too if he wasn’t busy being fictional (or…is he?). Here’s hoping I’ll be able to do more decent work and keep everyone satisfied; the last thing I need is a reader frenzy as crazed as the riot in today’s comic!
You draw a beautiful building!! ABOUT TIME YOU GOT BACK
I ride my photo reference like a bad doggy rides a leg. Rooooo!
Welcome back! Nicely done…. love the detail of the building too!
Thank ya, Jerry! There’s a lot you can do if you have the patience (and good reference).
