Lookie here, it’s everyone’s favorite Count Orlock-lookalike (don’t kid yourself, Salem’s Lot Barlow), Noah Sevradu! The one-time talent scout (introduced in THE CUPBOARD OF DR. CALIBANI) and current thug-supplier for gangsters seems to have picked out some special killers for some special clients.
Seems appropriate to talk about vampires today, since it’s the last day of Monsterpalooza 2015! Come on out to the Burbank Marriott and enjoy the show; I’ll be at Table 151 selling art, prints, comics, caricatures, and more creepy goodness!
What are Scapula and the Sinister Monster Doom Legion planning? Whatever it is, they best watch their backs, because some very unpleasant people are after them!
So from what I can tell about the ‘mercenaries’ in the last panel? And judging by the comment about ‘blood-thirsty’… One of them is a Nosferatu and the other is Glen Danzig. 😀
Waitaminnit, we already have a Nosferatu (on the phone). Is one of them Max Schreck and the other…well, Klaus Kinski or the incredibly awesome Willem Dafoe?
Super villain smack down imminent!
Another one? Yeesh, you’d think this comic would have had enough of supervillains by now!
…uh oh.
Nothing like being aware of the impending death that may leap out at you from any angle to really heighten the sense of teamwork, hm? Also, finding it appropriate to have the divisions as is: all the ‘middleweights’ in one group, all the really heavy talents in the other: the toughest, the most social, and the most driven. Good talent mix in both groups.
If we’re talking about literal weight balancing then you’d have Throgor and Toxsick in the ‘chunky’ division, Scapula, Babirus, and maybe Dr. Caliban in the middleweight class (the little doctor seems to be a bit of a porker), and Hypnausea and Tigadactyl as lightweights.
If it’s intellect being rated, then they’re all disqualified.
Looking forward to what the new batch of goons can do, by the way!
well you’ve had every monster on here besides vampires so i guess its about time!
Haven’t had the Blob yet.
NEXT WEEK: Scapula meets the Blob (but probably not).
