One of my favorite comic book artists/writers is Jaime Hernandez, best known for the indie series Love & Rockets. A lot of the storytelling here is based on Jaime’s Maggie and Ray stories; if you haven’t read any of his Locas stories, do yourself a favor and go give ‘em a peek.
Looks like Bone China and her man bit off more than they could chew…how did she get out of this one? Find out this Sunday!
Jeeves has a lot of eyeballs in the flashback, doesn’t he?
If you mean Sanderson the butler, he has one more eye here than he does now!
I think your pacing is just getting better and better.
Aww, thank you! I was wondering if people were enjoying this little chapter (as opposed to that one guy who threw a brick through my window).
“So, yeah, we raided some rich guy’s house, the guy who set it up chickened out and bailed but we figured we had mad skillz between us unemployed musicians, so we went ahead and figured what’s the worst that could happen, right brah? Then some doofus went and hired security guards for the guy, like what! What kind of rich person has like, security and stuff, y’know?”
Sorry, that’s basically how I heard this in my head. In that special voice I use mentally to warn me about REALLY stupid ideas.
Actually that sounds more like Cody’s assessment of the whole scenario (okay, we haven;t actually heard him talk, but look at the guy!).
Aw well; with age comes wisdom, and these two are still in their twenties. Trust me, I did far stupider things at that age (like creating SCAPULA).
I think the point is: we don’t know about Cody, but we definitely expected better from HER.
