Making up spooky pseudo-mystical jargon is surprisingly easy, as long as you know you’re creating nonsense. People will fall for it anyway.

Not to nitpick, but when did Scap switch masks? Previous strip he had one he had to hold up, now it’s strapped to his head …
Uh…maybe he found some Scotch tape. Let’s go with that.
Love how the dude behind Scap seems to have the same reaction, basically.
He probably just wants to go back to the buffet!
What’s the difference between stage theater and running a cult?
Cults don’t do shows nightly!
Wakka wakka!
Another difference: these people are actually paying money to be in this cult, while the theater…okay, that segues into a ‘starving actor’ joke, but I’ll leave it be.
Deepak Chopra haz a sad because you just gave his game away.
…and here I thought Deepak Chopra was some foreign vegetable you bought in a health food store.
You’re thinking of deep fried okra, and that’s sold at Cracker Barrel. 😉
To be honest, I expected the cultists to speak “wiz a jerman akzent”.
Also, I can’t shake the feeling that I should recognize those masks from somewhere specific.
The masks are just typical fancy-do ones that you see in (movies about) high–society balls and masquerades and all that jazz. Usually when I make a specific movie reference I hop up and down and point at it until the readers get the connection.
As for the accent, I almost thought you were writing in ‘Chekov from Star Trek‘ speak (yes, I know he’s from a completely different country than the one you mentioned…maybe it’s just the “wiz” that got me…maybe I should take a “wiz” now…).
Do not underestimate the power of the Dark Side (remember – they save some power by embracing the darkness, which means, not having to pay to light their rooms…)
Of course the stairways in the Dark Side must be an insurance nightmare.
Then again, I’d imagine one could easily steal a lot of office supplies…
oooh I need a link to that bad goth poetry
I wonder how Scap is gonna pull off this takeover. Mindless minions are a necessity in this day and age.
You’ve got me wanting to start up a cult now. 🙂
