Looks like Sanderson isn’t just an employee of Die Kabale, he’s a faithful believer of their mystic malarkey. How will this affect Jemini?

Hey, come kill and die for us and you shall life forever!
Someone else seeing the fault in that? I eanestly don’t understandt people following these kind of ideologies.
Thanatophobia (fear of death, for the non-nerds) has been a major motivating factor to mankind throughout history, and there have been plenty of folks who have used to for their own purposes. There are lots of frightened people who will listen to someone offering an easy yet impossible way out and they will take the bait hook, line, and sinker (and give up their money, too!).
Yes! Swear fealty to the Dark Lord Fire-Ape, give me all your money, then jump off this bridge, and live forever!
I don’t know what “Dark Lord Fire-Ape” is, but I’m sincerely tempted to include it in the Sinister Monster Doom Legion.
He’s an invincible orangutan made of flames that lives in New Jersey.
Worship him and when you die you can go rollerblading in the sweet-ass empty pools and halfpipes of the afterlife.

Okay, seriously….. why does everyone want ‘life eternal’ SO BADLY they’re willing to pledge themselves to vague ideals, do stupid things, and follow hokey rituals? Religion is a fine thing….. a moral code, a comforting set of ideals, something to look up to and even shelter from the madness of everyday life. Got that, no problems. Those are good things to offer, especially support and strength in the face of the miserable grind we’ve built as our everyday lives. But every cult that comes along is always offering ‘life eternal’. That’s where I get a little confused. Why would you want to live eternally under some psycho deity who will let anyone live forever, no matter how evil, stupid, or insane, JUST because they pledged allegiance to this loopy immortal? Wouldn’t letting the best, brightest, and most accomplished live longer regardless of their loyalty perhaps be more useful to humanity as a whole?
Maybe I’m just not cult material. I honestly think I’d rather pledge myself to follow Dadaman. At least then ‘life eternal’ would be INTERESTING!
I don’t think people who fall for the ‘life eternal’ line really think it through; what kind of immortality is being offered here? Stay on earth in your own flesh-and-blood body? Live on in spirit form? Reincarnation? Or something else entirely?
Read the fine print, folks, because otherwise it might be a set-up for a ‘Twilight Zone/EC comics’ deal where you live on eternally as a shambling rotted husk!
A day late for this to be REALLy relevant, but: “You shall live forever…. encased in solid CARBONITE!”
