….aaaand here’s our mystery woman! But who is she? We’ll find out this Sunday, so be here for a semi-romantic dance!
Until then, I want to wish a Happy Independence Day to all of my American readers (and for those of you outside of the States, I’ll wish you a Happy So-and-So for your country’s national holidays…if you tell me what they are)!
Something looks familiar about her… *flip flip flip* Oh yea’, she was in that cast image when you announced the new schedule and hiatus and shift to digital.
Yes indeed, sir! That should give you all a clue on how far I plan these things ahead (that is, when I’m not just making up crap as I go along)!
Ah, looks kind of witchy, but she lost part of her hat.
I can imagine her laugh is somewhat annoying.
The traditional pointy hat seemed a little too obvious (but when have I ever gone for subtlety?), so she’s wearing a pretty close approximation. It might make more sense once we get to know her.
As for the laugh, I don’t know if she could top Witch Hazel’s insane cackle!
Germany for me, but it will take some months till the national holiday for it being in October.
Just let me know when it’s time for a shout-out and I’ll be happy to join in! One of these days I’m going to have to see Germany; that’s where my favorite X-men member is from!
Would that be Kurt? Shame how they lost him in the third (not alltogether very good) movie…
“My name is Kurt Wagner, but in the Bavarian circus I was known as the incredible Nightcrawler!”
Hehe, ‘Nightcrawler’. Yes, typical German Name… Lets try it again with Nachtkriecher and see how far you can go with that. ^^
Once again, Scap has luck with the ladies only in spite of himself, hahaha.
Isn’t that always how romance works?
Nobody answer that!
The real question is, do either of them really know how to dance? It’s a legitimate question… wouldn’t want to see anyone make a fool of themselves!
Jerry, my friend, go to ANY club and tell me if most of those schmucks know what they’re doing on the dance floor!
I like that hat.
Bit of a side-step, but does the Sinister Monster Doom Legion have a logo/emblem? Please pardon my attention span if they do, and I missed it in the past.
Where I’m going with this.. I recently bagged myself a patch/embroidery machine, and certain things feel the need to be made.
Well, isn’t that a pleasant thought! Make enough of them and maybe the police will think there really IS a Sinister Monster Doom Legion running around!
The old logo was just a black octopus with a skull-and-cross bones insignia (you can see it here).
The updated logo can be seen in this comic. It looks a little similar to the HYDRA logo from Marvel comics, so I may tweak it a third time. In any case it’s a big black octopus.
Ahah! I knew I was being slow. I rememebred an octopus but thought I was confusing it with Scap’s mentally scarring body art.
Aaany chance of a bigger resolution snatch of the logo please? In return I’ll mail you a couple of patches.
I mean, if you’re okay with me entertaining myself with embroidering stuff. I’m not about to try and make a buck off these (not that I can imagine who/how would buy patches from me anyway…).
I can probably post a higher resolution pic here or on the Facebook page in a day or two. Stay tuned!
Why does he only seem to get female attention for being funny or odd? Oh yes, because he’s Scapula. Never mind!
So she seems cheerfully unhinged from reality a little. I don’t know why I get that vibe, but there you go. Also, I was debating if her hat was supposed to be an updated witch’s hat or a cross between a fedora and a sombrero. What would that be, anyways? A fembrera?
Hey, if it works, it works! Ends justify the means and all that rubbish; if it could potentially lead to some action for Scap he might start wearing a clown suit!
We’ll learn more about this woman on Sunday; as for the hat, I don’t know the terminology for hats, but it’s just one of those folk-y sunhats I see the hippies wear. Seemed appropriate enough.
I love your style, A. You’re one of the few (perhaps, only) artists who draw such tender voluptuous females. I love the Rubenesque-style of femininity, and you make me fall under their spell each and every time.
Oh, there’s plenty more artists out there who draw zaftig women better than I. You might enjoy my friend John Hazard’s awesome comic Frankenstein Superstar; nearly every women in it has an ass that puts my female characters to shame!
All right, Scap … chance to redeem yourself after messing it up so badly with BC (although given the circumstances I agree she could have been a tad more understanding) … play it cool, ya dork!
Just be yourself, Scap!…no, wait, scratch that. Just be cool and confident!….no, women can see through that veneer and tell if you’re faking. Ummm…be rich? No, that’s superficial (more importantly, he’s not rich).
Aw, screw it. Let’s just see how he does tomorrow, shall we?
Well, lookie here. It’s the woman who read the flyer about Scap being a super-perv. Can she see through his clever disguise or does she just like tall thin guys who dance like they’re being electrocuted? She’s sure built for comfort, not speed. 😉
Right off the bat, I like the ‘dance like they’re being electrocuted’ analogy. You don’t see people doing that too often anymore, but it’s pretty hilarious when it happens (most folks in Goth clubs dance like they’re doing Tai Chi).
What does she see in Scapula? We’ll find our tomorrow, my friend!
Hasn’t Scap had enough of that crazy little thing called love?
Apparently not! Just a glutton for punishment, methinks.
In Czechoslovonia today is National Talk like a Pirate taking a crap day.
That must make for some interesting Hallmark cards.
