JEMINI’S COPYCAT COUNTERATTACK pg22
Looks like our forty-something villains are caught by the forty-something-foot tall monster…can the teen brats save the day? And will they find…LOVE?!
(Okay, those of you who have already bought and read the book know the answer, but let’s save some suspense for the cheapskates who are reading this for free!)
“This ‘ere’s a ‘appy day! Let’s not bicker and argue about ‘oo killed ‘oo!”
“You fell out of the tall tower, you creep!”
“Yes, but I was saved at the last minute.”
“HOW?!”
“Well, I’ll tell you.” [cue music]
(music swells)
Not like that! NOT LIKE THAT!
He’s going to tell! He’s going to tell!
I always wonder why psychics look so stoned when they use their powers…
Psychics might be a lot better off with a heavy pot intake; would the ‘Dark Phoenix’ saga have been an issue if Jean Grey was enjoying a pleasant toke while watching Adult Swim reruns?
It would have saved a lot of insanity, that’s for sure. Seriously, when all you can think is ‘I should use my TK to get me munchies’ it cuts down on brains in the carpet!
I don’t know if the monster is ready for the wave of happy about to wash over her.
“Wave of Happy” is my new pop band! Ironically no one is happy to hear us perform (but they do ‘wave’ goodbye).
Oh, so many random thoughts… a LOT of which were already covered by some of the fine readers in the last couple comment sections.
So, the leftover dregs of my thoughts/questions;
Building on the ‘stoned’ question from above – My thought was more like “Why do psychics’ eyes roll up into their heads when they go all psycho-psychic? Are they trying to see their own brains work?
Are the Dios able to merge, somehow, or is every clone just THERE til s/he/they die of natural causes?
Scap in panel 3, for some reason reminds me of Ren Hoek.
That is all
Let’s see what we can do here:
1. The “psychic eyeroll” is purely for dramatic effect, since it looks kinda’ boring just having a mentally-powerful person just sitting there or checking Facebook on their phone for the umpteenth time.
2. It’s never stated that the Dio Sukuri copies can merge, although that would explain why the excess ones just kinda’ disappear. Chalk that up to lousy writing!
3. Scapula is somehow less vile than Ren and even less vile and douchey than John Kricfalusi.
Hope that helps!
