Woohoo, nice to see ol’ Scap again. Looks like he became an early bird, and apparantly so did I, being first to comment and everything (aaah, timezones, you so silly).
Thanks for commenting, Tim, and yes, you are the first to comment…unfortunately, Jeremy and GreyWolf happen to be Time Lords and have used their time-travelling purposes for naughty means and jumped ahead of ya! Way to misuse that power, fellas!
Great to be back, Jerry! The horns have returned by popular demand, no matter how much I hate drawing them. Guess it just goes to show you the power of the public (although it might be a while until we show that Jemini striptease some readers have been clamoring for)!
Hey, whatever centers you! Anytime, anyplace (well, except in public).
If you think the two month wait was fast, next Tuesday will be on us in the blink of an eye. Here’s hoping everyone appreciates the extra service at no extra charge (and the only tips I take are in rum form)!
No, no, that wont happen. He’s just going to stumble out into the street, get hit by a truck, land down an open manhole cover and get eaten by sewer turtles.
…and it’s good to see you back here as well, Hoomi!
Welcome back, Scap (and Aidan)! I dig the new look incredibly. The artwork looks clean, crisp, and refreshing. I’m also quite eager to see what Scap has planned since he’s had a bit of time to marinate, recharge, and reflect on things. I suspect his newest scheme is gonna go off flawlessly. Or, at least, loads better than his normal devious plots go. 🙂
It’s great to be back, George, and thanks for the kind words. I was pretty reluctant to go all digital with the artwork, but in the end it saves a lot of time making corrections (and money on art supplies!).
We’ll have to wait and see if Scapula’s plans go better this time around, but at least he’s got the gusto!
Good to see this moving again, Aidan. Hope you enjoyed your vacation and its nice to see Scapula is finally updating more often – even if it means single strip black and whites every other day, it’s a better plan in the long term. I can understand the artist’s possessiveness about doing your work alone. If it was me doing a webcomic, I sure as cream custard wouldn’t let anyone do the coloring or posting or any such.
So, can’t wait to see what kind of plan our favorite bone-headed, squealing villain is up to this time…love the return of the horns by the way! Keep up the good work. See you on Tuesday.
Great to have you back, Treike! Truth be told, the “vacation” was spent getting these new comics together, but that’s always more fun than hassle (okay, there’s a little bit of hassle, but the fun trumps it).
A lot of the artist’s duties of doing everything yourself is just part of the game with webcomics. Without a syndicate to handle the distribution, promotion, monetization, and other less-than-cheerful responsibilities, it really falls on the comic creators themselves to get the job done (this goes back to the “hassle” I mentioned earlier). I think most comic artists get used to it (some even excel at it), and my years of freelance have sort of been preparing me for the chores of building your own brand.
All that said, it’s great to be making ridiculous comics about big beautiful women beating up Scapula. Now THAT’S business I can enjoy!
Horns again! So did you figure out how you’re going to illustrate them consistently, or is Scaps going to lose them soon? Hellboy, you know, just breaks them off.
I hate drawing them because they ALWAYS turn out wrong on the first try!
But they’re back now; I figured any way an artist can give their characters a memorable design they’re doing a good job. Scap’s horns may make for difficult panel composition, but they do their job as a strong visual.
And, thankfully, he can remove them whenever he wants (or when I want)!
I LOVE his psych up routine. And while I don’t have much use for guys, I can just imagine how awesome any master plan said in a Vincent Price voice must sound! And oh yes, the Horns are back!
You were missed dearly hun. Welcome back to the world!
Aww, thank ya, Jenn! It is good to be back, all psyched up and interior monologued to my best.
For those of you who haven’t tried reciting your gran plan for life aloud (much less in the voice of a favorite actor), give it a shot. If nothing else, you will have amused everyone else in the room!
Nice, I can’t wait and I really hope things go smoother for Scapula.
Jeremy buddy, the wait is over, but when have things ever gone smoothly for Scap? …except when he’s polished!
He’s BAAAAAAACK! Woohoo!
‘Just when you thought it was safe to surf the web…”

Yeah, my Prius is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside – should have been a clue!
The style sure feels different. I wonder if Scapie’s bank is the First Bank of Goodyear? His finances are as flexible as the federal government’s.
His bank is the first national Bank of Kinko’s, where he xeroxes his dollar bills.
If you think THAT’S stupid, you should meet the people he does business with!
It’s good to see Scap up and about again… And that he made time to clean the bathroom. Is he expecting company? Go gettim’, Scappy!
Hey, you can commit crimes and terrorize the public, but leaving mildew in your tub is just wrong!
It’s funny you should mention him having company, because Scap is expecting a few villainous visitors very soon…
I suspected… I have this thing about having a clean house when people come over. I’m weird like that.
But do you dress like Scapula when they arrive?
Welcome back! It’s been awhile since the last Scap fix.
Looks like the Scap horns have made it back into the costume!
Great to be back, Jerry! The horns have returned by popular demand, no matter how much I hate drawing them. Guess it just goes to show you the power of the public (although it might be a while until we show that Jemini striptease some readers have been clamoring for)!
“… and ‘polished’ myself to put my mind at ease.”
Well, if you can’t share too much information in your own internal monologue, where else can you do it?
And only a wait until Tuesday for further Scapulation? Aidan, I feel so spoiled… 🙂

Welcome back!
Thanks, Josh! Glad to have you back as well!
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!
YEEEEEEEAAAAAAH DAAAAAAAWWWWWG!!!
Dude….. I think I just filled the cup.
If you’ve filled up, then pass the bottle of Jack Daniels to the other guests!
Wellllllllll…. You got part of that right.
OMG OMG OMG I’ve missed Scap SO much! Go Scap! I know you can make your horrific dreams come true! Go get ’em!
Well, whaddya know? Someone is actually cheering Scapula on! You must be…CRAZY!
We shall see if his horrific dreams come to fruition, but until then, keep those cheers going!
Just as long as he doesn’t trip going down the stairs…
(And good to see him back!)
No, no, that wont happen. He’s just going to stumble out into the street, get hit by a truck, land down an open manhole cover and get eaten by sewer turtles.

…and then Scapula woke up.

I’ve been in villain withdrawal rehab since you went idle! Thank GOD I can get my Scapula once again! [grin]
Thanks for coming back, Scott! Perhaps you needed rehab after going mad…bury!
I went Idle? What if I went Cleese, Palin, Jones, Chapman, or Gilliam?
Great to see Scap again. 🙂
Great to see YOU again!
Cleaning the bathroom is always a good idea before you wreak havoc.
Whenever I wreak havoc it usually requires a thorough cleaning of the bathroom afterwards!
YEAH! He’s back! And as mean as ever!!
Seriously: if this ever becomes a movie or an HBO series, I WILL watch it.
I’ll even pay!
Thanks for commenting, Esben! If this ever becomes an HBO series then I hope Willem Dafoe plays Scapula. That just seems like good casting!
I predict Jim Carrey will be more likely picked for the play.
Who knows, might work….. or not.
We’ll find out when the contracts are signed.
Are we talking ‘funny Jim Carrey’ or ‘being serious, no matter how much the audiences hate it, Jim Carrey’?
Yippee Scapula is back ! Are you so sure it’s a villain, he looks more and more sympathetic to me. Anyways, “I’m ready to rock”.
Of course he’s a villain! Who else would know how to properly rock?
Horns again! So did you figure out how you’re going to illustrate them consistently, or is Scaps going to lose them soon? Hellboy, you know, just breaks them off.

Yay! Horns again, finally!
Though, I think I’ve never seen Scapula being mor cartoon like than in this strip’s last panel!
Hey, you want cartoony, you got it! Coming soon, Scapula done in Tex Avery style!
Well, maybe not, but that would still be a lot of fun.
YAY! Our favourite villain is back again! 😀
…and thank you for being back as well!
B-b-b-b-bad to the bones! Welcome back, Aidan! Bring on the bad guy!
Thank ya kindly, Mark! Us creepy cartoonists got to look out for each other, right?
I LOVE his psych up routine. And while I don’t have much use for guys, I can just imagine how awesome any master plan said in a Vincent Price voice must sound! And oh yes, the Horns are back!
