You can laugh at Dr. Caliban for being a Pokemon collector, but I’ll take the shameful step forward and say that I used to be a pretty hardcore fan as well. Heap scorn upon me, internet trolls.
Who will Die Kabale strike down next? Let’s find out (man, those guys are almost as bad as Team Rocket…d’oh!).
Pfft, I still play the games sometimes. I still have all my Pokemon Cards, but now just as mementos/when are they gonna be worth fifty million dollars already??
So we go from impassive to Spitey McGlee. Man, it’s almost too bad Bombastar blew up, they could have had the Kabale get rid of one of their enemies.
Side note: I’ve been watching Freakazoid! lately, and I’m starting to think I should read Toxsick’s voice as Ed Asner.
Better to hear Ed Asner’s voice coming from Toxsick than certain other comic book villains…like Granny Goodness (>shudder<).
Imagine if Bombastar had lived long enough to participate in this story; he might have enjoyed the Kabale killing Mona Naware and Aunt September (or not…he never really enjoyed anything).
Ed Asner was awesome as Granny Goodness, and I will fight* anyone who says otherwise!
* – By “fight” I mean, of course, talking big shit on the internet without actually putting myself at bodily risk or even moving from this comfy chair. Y’know, the usual.
His performance was fine, by all means. It was just disturbing hearing his voice coming out of an old lady (and I will give the man credit for not faking a falsetto voice or any such silliness).
Ed Asner is a great voice actor, who gave us Cosgrove and my favorite interpretation of J. Jonah Jameson (sorry, J.K. Simmons, you’re a very close second).
This is why blackmailing villains is dubious at best.
Child of the 90’s syndrome: the word “dubious” always makes me flashback to The Simpsons.
Martin: ” ‘Dicketty’? Highly dubious!”
Grampa: “What’re you cacklin’ at, fatty? Too much pie, that’s yer problem!”
Nowt wrong with a little pokemon love. Not that I’d know.

I have a little Bulbasaur and Koffing sitting in front of my monitor…not that I put them there.
Hard to say the Kabale will have much luck attacking the families of this crowd. I mean, sociopathy is just the beginning of their mental diseases checklist.
Mental diseases checklist? To paraphrase the 2,000 Year Old Man: “When the doctor hands me one of those papers with the list of all the diseases I just get a big red crayon and write across the whole sheet ‘YES’.”
I’m sure between the SMDL they can account for everything in the DSM 4 at least once. Yes, they actually have a giant book of pretty much everything that can be wrong with you. It’s rather big……
Meh. I never played Pokemon but I did have a serious Magic: the Gathering collection for a while. What parts I didn’t sell are likely not worth much any more except to collectors. And I really wonder what I probably missed, never having gotten into the Pokemon craze when I could have.
So I’d never make fun of you, Aidan. 😉
